I have been waiting for this day for so long. However, now that it’s here…It’s weird. Just as with every other birthday, I don’t feel any different. I’m just the same…However, now I’m an adult. Yay!

My eldest grandchild is 18 today. I remember many things from when you were learning to crawl,to walk, and to talk. Who could have guessed that you would grow from a sweet smiling baby girl into a lovely young woman in such a short time. With this new phase of your life just beginning more exciting things will be coming your way. Love you very much. Gram
You will find that most of the milestones that everyone makes a big deal out of tend towards the anticlimactic once you get to them. You wake up expecting to hear the trumpets heralding in the occasion and… it’s just like any other morning.
You won’t recognize the significance until much later and probably in hindsight.
