Bring it on! and Crimson Hero
I splurged yesterday. Was it..? Yes, yes it was yesterday. Mom and I have been doing a lot of shopping recently, but I got to spend money on myself yesterday and today. I got myself a bunch of manga to add to my collection. On top of buying the finishing touches for Imadoki!, Vol 2 of From Far away and 4&6 of Alice 19th along with vol 6 Hana-kimi, I allowed myself to buy two new series. Namely Crimson Hero and Bring it On!, which are both very good. Although Bring it On! does get confusing every once in a while, it is generally a pretty good read and Crimson Hero is great.
I have practically bought myself out of needing manga for a while. After all I’ve got 13 more coming in the mail and stuff. I’m so happy!!!
I’ve finished Lois & Clark season 2 and dad made fun of the last episode of that season. I understand what he was saying, but still, it is frustrating. I like the series, but when he points out the mistakes with it (not to mention how sappy it can be...ugh...) it makes my buying seem pointless...to me, anyway. So, I’ve settled with just setting aside those facts and enjoying the show, no matter how sappy it can be at times.
So, I just need to wait for DW season 1 to come and then I can re-watch it and be happy to have Jack back!!! I love that character so muuuch!
Amazon and Computer Problems
So, I managed to make a good deal with myself. Even without the Super Save Shipping I had been able to get everything I wanted that was newer. I was going to hold off on somethings and then I decided to turn around and do SSS. Which meant I managed to cut out more of the less expensive things while retaining my two expensive items at the cost of the time in which I shall be receiving the items. It is rather irritating checking every five hours or so and finding that my stuff still hasn’t moved. But I’m trying very hard to be patient. It’s worth it, I keep telling myself. Of course, I freak out about how much I’ve spent and then must sit down and remind myself that I’ve still got over $200 left to spend with other gift cards and money/checks. So, I’m pretty pleased with my bargaining.
I’ll have to write down a list of what I’m interested in getting at Borders before I go. Basically writing down what I still need to catch up with one series and random stuff that I’d like to have. With the order I placed yesterday, I bought the three books I was missing from one series to complete that, caught up and bought the beginnings of other series I’ve been lagging behind or have been wanting for a while. And I bought myself two good box set seasons. Though still sad that I couldn’t get my beloved Ronin Warriors, my displeasure was set aside when I received my package from my Aunt this afternoon. I’m halfway through the four seasons of Lois & Clark and I’ve got the first book of The Wallflower, which I’ve been meaning to buy for a couple of weeks now. So, I was extremely happy!!!
Dad took my PC downstairs to re-stage it yesterday, fortunately, it was working fine for him. I got on it this evening and it’s back to crap again. So I’ll go downstairs in a moment to complain about just how frustrating it’s getting.
Now, I want to sit back, hole myself up in my room for a couple of days and watch Season 2 of L&C while hoping Amazon is merciful and sends me my stuff ASAP.
Argh
The actual date of my birthday has come and gone. Now, with only a few possible presents to be hopeful of more money or of a package, I’m debating what to buy. I really want to start getting stuff I’ve bought myself by next week. I got $200 from my parents on Amazon.com and I’m trying to decide how to splurge it. Of three things out of a million that I want, one is out of stock and it is unknown if or when it’ll be back, one is out of stock and I will be e-mailed when it comes back in and the third isn’t even out yet. Since I don’t want to have to wait until October to get my stuff, I said “screw that” and rechanged my order. With Free Super Saver Shipping I can get more items so I’ll sacrifice time to get what I want.
It’s nice to have money to burn...It’s just frustrating that I can only get two of the three complete box set seasons I want. Season 1 of both Heroes and Doctor Who and The Complete Collection of Ronin Warriors Book 1 & 2. So, I debate and work and debate and such. Unfortunately, I seem to have very expensive tastes. The two seasons I can get (Heroes and DW) are almost a $100 by themselves. Add to that about 12 books that are all around $8.99-9.99 then I’m splurging fast and furious. I’ve been whining because I can’t get the Ronin Warriors box set which I really want. I keep reminding myself that I’ve also got Lois & Clark to work on buying, but I’ve set that aside in light of my RW loss.
In other news, I had tomato soup for lunch today and it was awesome! I haven’t had it in quite a while (for my, anyways), because we got the bigger cans and I need to share ‘em. Fortunately, I didn’t need to share it, I was hungry enough that I downed it all. That may be a bad sign, but I don’t really care. It made me happy at the time and I’m content to be selfish about Tomato Soup. I shall go back to my pondering, try and update my choice every once in a while.
Birthday Bash
It’s that time of year again. The month of birthdays. Well, for my family anyway. We’re going to be busy. Luckily, I suppose, I don’t have Driver’s Ed until next month after school. Which is cool, kind of frustrating though, I really want to take the class. So, senior pictures, registration, dad’s 40th. The usual stuff is going on. And...it’s very, very hot!
