Exams

Oh.  My.  God…..big surprise

This is exam week, or Midterms, or Semester Finals, or whatever you wish to call it.  It sucks!!!  I absolutely hate it!!!  The teachers try to give the students heart attacks or something, basically they try to murder us by making us panic.  They give us loads of HW and projects and crap in the weeks leading up to The Exams, and then they tell us,  “Study! Study! Study!“  grrr

WTF?!?!?!  When I agreed to High School, I did not agree to this!!!  I hate it!!!  High School can be ok, but this is just ridiculous.  Though I do understand why we’re taking them, or at least I think I understand.  I know only what I’ve heard and have been told.  These have to do with College, don’t they???  I hope so! shut eye

Now, I’m off to go grumble to myself about how unfair this is!  Maybe I’ll write something longer NEXT time….If there IS a next time….. mad

The tests are to determine the amount of knowledge you have retained from the class.  True the gpa (grade point average) in high school determines your readiness for college, if you qualify for a scholarship, and several other things.  But don’t think that it readies you for more of the same in college.  Because there you are expected to take notes on the lectures in a class.  There is not always a text book to look up alot of what you need to know.  So a mindset of ‘I will study, I will retain, and I will learn to take notes long before I must have the ability to do so’ is the attitude you are going to have to develope early.  You are an intelligent young lady so show that trait instead of appearing to be immature.  Love you much but I tell it like it is!!
