Birthdays and Interviews

Wow...A lot has happened in the last two days.  Yesterday, as so many know, was my birthday.  It was awesome to check out what the other members of my family posted on their blogs.  Thank you all!  I really liked what we did for my birthday. It was a lot of fun!!!

Today: Ok, so I got up and called the Library, they told me to call back at noon.  I called back and Holly asked if I could come in for my interview at three.  So I wasted time getting ready and reading.  Finally, mom drove me up to the library.  Went through the interview really well, got a nice tour and......

Guess what?  I GOT THE JOB!!!!!

When mom and I were preparing to leave, Holly came up and said: “Nevermind, we won’t call you in a couple of days.  We wish to hire you...”

I nearly freaked then and there.  I had been so nervous!!!!  But I got my first job!!!!!

Ahem.  Tomorrow my friend is coming over and we’re going to spend the day together.  It’ll be lotsa fun!

  2. I am glad you are excited about your new job. I think you will find it rewarding (most especially when you start cashing paychecks).  You are 16 now, so think about saving some of that hard earned cash for larger prizes/long term goals.  This like dance tickets, clothes, computer parts, Go-phone, prepaid game play cards, class rings, etc.

Once you get your work schedule… you will be doing more personal planning than you have in the past.  After Labor Day, even more, since sleep, eating, school and work will have to be scheduled in before other events:-) No skipping meals!  Eating healthy needs to be a priority as well as getting enough sleep!
