Argh

The actual date of my birthday has come and gone.  Now, with only a few possible presents to be hopeful of more money or of a package, I’m debating what to buy.  I really want to start getting stuff I’ve bought myself by next week.  I got $200 from my parents on Amazon.com and I’m trying to decide how to splurge it.  Of three things out of a million that I want, one is out of stock and it is unknown if or when it’ll be back, one is out of stock and I will be e-mailed when it comes back in and the third isn’t even out yet.  Since I don’t want to have to wait until October to get my stuff, I said “screw that” and rechanged my order.  With Free Super Saver Shipping I can get more items so I’ll sacrifice time to get what I want.

It’s nice to have money to burn…It’s just frustrating that I can only get two of the three complete box set seasons I want.  Season 1 of both Heroes and Doctor Who and The Complete Collection of Ronin Warriors Book 1 & 2.  So, I debate and work and debate and such.  Unfortunately, I seem to have very expensive tastes. The two seasons I can get (Heroes and DW) are almost a $100 by themselves.  Add to that about 12 books that are all around $8.99-9.99 then I’m splurging fast and furious.  I’ve been whining because I can’t get the Ronin Warriors box set which I really want.  I keep reminding myself that I’ve also got Lois & Clark to work on buying, but I’ve set that aside in light of my RW loss.

In other news, I had tomato soup for lunch today and it was awesome!  I haven’t had it in quite a while (for my, anyways), because we got the bigger cans and I need to share ‘em.  Fortunately, I didn’t need to share it, I was hungry enough that I downed it all.  That may be a bad sign, but I don’t really care.  It made me happy at the time and I’m content to be selfish about Tomato Soup.  I shall go back to my pondering, try and update my choice every once in a while.

  1. Wow It had to be fun even if you didn’t get exactly what you wanted.

  2. I’ve always been of the opinion that Birthday Money is a mixed blessing. It’s great to be able to go out and buy what you want, but it’s so rare that I get to do that anymore that I agonize over what things I want to get. Should I buy one big thing or a bunch of smaller things. The big purchase would be great as I know I won’t be able to do that anytime soon and that leaves the lesser expensive stuff for others to consider buying, but then if I buy a bunch of lesser expensive things I have more stuff to keep me occupied until the next time I can spend money.

Drives me up the wall it does.
