Da?!?!

I know, I know!  It’s been awhile, and I will not apologize, otherwise Gram’s gonna go nuts.  So, just forgive me will ya?  Da!  I’m so happy…The DVY will be coming out soon, and I’m in it!  Yeah!  Life rules sometimes! Oh yeah, that reminds me!  I’ve gotta remind dad and mom, I hafta turn in the slip to buy the DVY by next tuesday, otherwise I won’t get one!  DA!  Bad thought, BAD THOUGHT!!!!  I dun wanna go there no more!

Anyways, I got most of my guy friends and one of my female friends together to get a buddy pic taken for the DVY, and, guess what?  I managed to gather enough courage to do a Shout Out for the DVY this year!  I’m so proud of myself!  Hehe…Good times…Must never be forgotten!

Yesterday was a Play Day, meaning Mrs. Yentz’s 8th grade Drama class, she does Language Arts and Drama for 8th grade only, was performing their play all day yesterday (multiple times!  It wasn’t THAT long of a play!).  I watched it in 2nd hour, Chorus, 3rd hour, Language Arts, because I had Mrs. Fromm and I dunno.  We had ICE CREAM after the play, again, 8th graders only, in 3rd hour!  Then for the third time that day, I went to see it again in 6th hour!  lol…By that point in time I was bored with the play, it wasn’t so funny after having already seen it twice.  Well, this time I got to sit with my boyfriend, Andrew, who sat between me and my friend Jessica, Brandon had to sit a little way down the table on the other side (the play was being performed in the cafeteria!).  I noticed, while kinda sorta watching the play, that the sky was getting darker outside.  Of course, earlier that morning at home on the news they had predicted later in the day storms.

Well, half way through the play, the sky was a dark green, and Mrs. Malotts, the home ec teacher FOR ALL GRADES, started waving her arms (I was sitting near the back, 2nd or 3rd to last table, by one of the windows), and whispering, “My sixth hour, follow me…“  So a buncha the 6th graders sitting on the other side of me and infront of me and stuff, got up and left.  Then it all fell apart!  Yes, the play was still going, kinda, I don’t really remember, it mighta been, or they mighta been standing on stage wondering WHY THE HECK THEIR AUDIENCE WAS LEAVING!  Well, it wasn’t long before Brandon moved to my other side.

I turned to him and asked what green meant, he said it meant a lightning hell.  I frowned, because it didn’t click with something in my brain.  I turned to Andrew and asked HIM what green meant, he said Hail.  That clicked, the 1st thing to pop into my mind after he said hail was TORNADO!  Immediately, my brain went on alert.  I started freaking out.  I was scared, my best friend was probably somewhere on the highway out there, my mom was home alone, and my dad was at work.  I started crying.

Andrew and Brandon reassured me and then they had to leave.  A few moments later, Mrs. Yentz said that the play was canceled due to weather conditions.  The noise after that announcement was intense.  I got up and went back to Mrs. Johnson’s room.  I was still crying, but I managed to grab my stuff, which was over by one of the windows, before we were all shooed to the other side of Mrs. Johnson’s room, meaning the whole of Mrs. Johnson’s 6th hour class.  Mrs. Johnson reassured me, and it wasn’t long until I managed to slowly calm down.  I was sitting down near the corner where her desk was, on the other side of the room, so I just pulled out my knitting and went back to working on my scarf, it calmed me a lot more.

Announcements were made and stuff, slowly, VERY slowly, the sky lightened to the grey it had started at. The last bell rang, and still we sat there.  Mr. Freeman, the principal, or Mr. McMurray, the VP, got on and said that the highschoolers had been kept in school too, so the buses would be late.  They started dismissing us, starting with walkers, bikers, and people whose parents drove them.  I was allowed to go back to my seat.

Slowly they dismissed kids bus by bus or van, starting with the small ones, ‘cause they were there already.  After 10 minutes of this, Mrs. Johnson let us, her 6th hour class go.  I think it was because, during the whole thing, she’d been trying to contact her daughter and her husband, and it wasn’t getting through.  She had family obligations, so.  I was almost to the hallway with my locker in it when they made the announcement that if a teacher had family obligations, they should hand their class over to another teacher.  I shrugged, too late for that.

As I had left my 6th hour class, I saw one of the people who’d been in the play, she’d been in the bathroom, about to change back into normal clothes (she was wearing this dress thing for this little mini play she was in before the actual play).  So she’d been huddled in the bathroom still in her dress. Poor girl.

I made it to my locker with no problems, then I packed my backpack and went to the hallway which led to my bus’s bus stop and where Andrew and Brandon’s 6th hour, social studies with Mrs. Sherman (I also have her, only for 1st hour), was.  I found, to my surprise, that Cleveland was in that hour with them too.  So I stuck with the three of them for a while.

Brandon managed to get ahold of his mom and gave Andrew and myself rides home.  I got home, relayed the story to my mom, then got online to see if Andrew was on.  He was.  We talked about that day for a while.  We talked about Jessica, who’d been seriously scared, and wondered it she was ok and how she got home and stuff.

Later that night, I changed into a pair of jeans and a red T-shirt that said in sparkly blue letters “America” (I’d been wearing yellow pants and a yellow T-shirt all day).  Then at 6:30, Andrew and his mom picked me up and we went to the movies to watch Shrek 2!  It’s SO CUTE!!!  I love it!

And I had so much fun with Andrew and his mom.  I can’t wait ‘til next time!  And I also can’t wait ‘til Monday, because I saw Mary, a girl I have 5th hour Science with, at Greer Chiropractor’s!  Lol!

Anyways, Andrew is so cool, and I’m so happy, I’ve been like this for several days now, I could just fly away with the feeling I have now, so, um…Yeah!  BAI BAI!  SAYANORA!  ADIOS!  BYE!
